Our unique approach
Hockton Sculpture was formed in 1995, when Antonia wished to combine her work as an artist with her skills in sculpture conservation. Since then the two disciplines have run concurrently, establishing her practice which offers a highly skilled and personal service.
Prior to establishing her own business she trained and worked in the conservation department at Lincoln Cathedral. Having worked on the internationally important Romanesque Frieze, she was sought by the French restoration firm Groux, to assist in their programme of work on the Romanesque church of Notre Dame, in Poitiers. Mostly based in Poitiers, she also worked on various chateaux along the Loire Valley and Cathedrals in northern France.
Since returning to the UK, she has established her reputation in the field of public art, and private art commissions. Her carving workshop is based in Ipswich, but her artwork is held in collections round the country.
Over the past 15 years, Hockton Sculpture has been offering a bespoke service in the following fields:
- Contemporary Sculpture
- Public Art Projects
- Stone Conservation / Restoration of Historic Buildings and Ornament
- Design
